It took my husband and his parents more than 7 hours to drive the van with all our belongings and furnitures from France to Leuven.
When they started to unload our furniture and move them to our flat by the lift,,,the problem came! One man who apparently lives in the same building appeared and started shouting at my father- in- law! My poor father-in-law,,,he can't understand a word of Dutch or English!...after my husband arrived, he realized the reason: they are not allowed to use the lift to move furniture!!! That idiot even called the people who is in charge of the building......our landlady came.......what a situation! ...I wasn't there so didn't know what exactly happened, just knew that by the phone that, at the end, to avoid that mad man, my husband and his parents had to play hide- and- seek to use the lift to move washing machine and stuff....
Oh dear me, what a good start!!!
So, wondered, in Belgium, lifts are only used for transfering people?!
