6 months living in paris is too short, i guess you did not really realize the charming life here yet, my case was that i spent 1 year to really know paris and start to like it, i only spoke english at the beginning and later learnt to speak french, lucky that my french colleagues are nice people, so everything is going well now...
i am a beijinger too, i left my good work and my fancy car there, but so far i am doing well, lol
beijing is my home, i can always come back, but it's good to experience sth different
there are always pros and cons anyways...
