come on guys, i mean COO is an ideal career alternative for engineers.
those from business school can't understand the core business and products of your company, at least not as profound as engineer ...
Among these existing ( at least in the common sense ) most-wanted posts, I might be able to understand why you've not been aiming at the CTO for some certain reasons implicitly revealed from your attitude to the research work.
Given your background, probably I could also guess why it's not something like the CFO.
However, I'm kind of bewildered... by the fact that you do NOT "just simply" choose the CEO, as most of the other people around here would.
Coz just you are modest?
Or there's something wrong with the CEO in your mind?
Finally it's your this sentence depicting your reasoning, quoated as saying "i mean COO is an ideal career alternative for engineers. those from business school can't understand the core business and products of your company, at least not as profound as engineer".
I'm not really convinced by this simplified version of theory, but indeed, I've my fingers crossed for you, for your COO dream.
At the meanwhile I'm asking myself... Perhaps not everyone is suitable to be a CEO, but there's always a CXO post right there waiting for you...
