Point of Grace是成立于1991年的流行福音音乐乐队，这支四重唱乐队最初包括Shelley Breen、Denise Jones、Terry Jones和Heather Payne，2003年Terry Jones离队，随后Leigh Cappillino加入，2008年Payne宣布退出。
在90年代初，Denise Jones, Heather Floyd和Terry Lang组成了一个名叫the O auchitones的组合，在俄克拉何马的Norman进行演出。在加入了第四位成员Shel ley Phillips之后，这个四人女子团改名为Point Of Grace，开始在Word旗下发布她们的音乐。12年后，她们出版了双CD的精选集24。在这个开香槟庆祝的时候 ，成员Terry Lang宣布离队，虽然其余成员很快宣布组合不会解散，并及时找来 了一位十分出色的候补者。但是这个有史以来最成功的主流现代白人福音组合面临着一个严酷的现实，就是能否延续Terry离队之前的成功。
Point Of Grace几乎是一开始就取得了成功，而她们在演艺生涯上面的突破 也激励了诸如Avalon这样的后辈团体进军歌坛。很多评论家喜欢把这两个组合做比较。事实上这两个组合之间的确有很多的相似之处。PoG的4位成员都是长相漂亮的魅力女子，她们同样是穿着保守，外表干净整洁，走积极向上的乐观主义音乐路线，只是她们的音乐比Avalon少了一份阳刚之气，多了一份温柔。更多的评 论家则倾向于称她们为“基督教音乐领域的Wilson Phillips”，因为两个组合都 有美丽的外表和令人惊讶的和谐和声。
不管评论家如何为这个组合寻找相似者，POG就是POG。他们首张专辑就轻松 摘得了Dove Award的最佳新人。虽然有些人认为POG的音乐太过Adult Contempor ary而远离了传统的白人福音音乐，歌迷却是很愿意听到她们偏流行化，甚至是非 常偏白人R&B的曲风。第二张专辑Whole Truth很快又霸占上了福音电台排行榜的 首位。第三张专辑Love, life and other Mysteries则跳出了比较单一的赞颂上帝的歌词圈子，大胆的探讨生活当中的各个方面。展现了新一代基督教艺术家对生活的严肃看法。这张专辑在曲风上也有了很多变化，比如她们翻唱了Funk名团 Earth,wind & fire的Sing a Song，欢快的Funky节奏加上她们令人愉悦的和声， 让人耳目一新。That'the way it meant to be则是一首同样Funky的歌曲。结尾 曲Circle of Friend则回归Folk风格，为整张专辑画上了圆满的句号。
在98 年的作品Steady On里面，PoG延续了以往专辑当中多变的风格，开场曲 Steady On就是一首节奏强劲，积极向上的醒耳曲目。令人惊讶的是，POG放弃了她们在以往专辑当中比较频繁使用的白人R&B风格，取而代之的是更为白人化的S oft Rock和folk。也就是从这张专辑开始，乐队开始频繁的进行慈善义演，组建她们的慈善团体和非营利性机构。她们的首次尝试就是一个叫做Saving Grace的关怀女性的行动。POG亲自演唱了这个活动的主题曲Saving Grace。歌曲描述了一个有着不幸经历的女孩Grace，在周围的基督徒们的帮助下走出心理阴影的故事。依然是积极向上的主题和强劲的摇滚节奏，POG在歌曲里号召全社会都团结起来关 心那些不幸的年轻女子。这个活动也成为了日后著名的慈善巡演Girls Of Grace 的一个灵感。
00年,POG把早年的歌曲集结起来出版了一张Remix的CD，立刻带动了CCM乐坛出Remix版本的风气。01年POG卷土重来，以全新面目的Free to Fly专辑冲击着新人辈出的基督教音乐圈子。这张专辑曲风上和Steady On相差不大，但是我们明显 能够感觉到四个成员开始越来越多借鉴Teen Pop和世俗成人流行音乐。Begin Wi th me 和 Something so good依旧是典型的POG风格，You will never walk alone和All that I need则是优雅的慢板歌曲。很多评论家认为这张专辑是组合有史 以来最成功的一次尝试。
在录制自己的作品的同时，POG也积极的参与其他音乐家的音乐作品。钢琴家 Jim Brickman在他的一张圣诞专辑当中邀请了她们担任客座歌手。她们也跟随慈 善团体Mercy Ministries进行巡演，并录制了“Mercy Project”这张收录巡演曲 目的合集。 02年，POG联合Out Of Eden, Rachael Lampa, Jaci velasquez以及Nichole Nordeman这群享有盛誉的女歌手，开展了名为Girls of Grace的巡演。Girls O f Grace是一个旨在帮助年轻女子度过事业和心理难关的一个慈善关怀组织。POG 的四位成员创办了这个组织，想用自己的影响力为社会上一些生活的不如意的年 轻女子提供帮助。她们说：我们四人都成长在完整的家庭里，没有药物滥用和滥交的问题，但是我们周围有很多的女孩子却因为家庭不完整或是滥用药物而毁了自己的人生。她们需要帮助，而我们就应该提供帮助。在她们的努力下，Girls of Grace开始初具规模。POG便趁热打铁，把巡演当中的热门曲目集结起来，出版 了合集Girls of Grace。POG担任了两首曲目的主唱并参与了所有曲目的背景和声 。专辑里面最成功的歌曲之一当属FFH组合成员Jennifer所演唱的in the calm， POG天使般的和声若隐若现的衬托着Jennifer的甜美嗓音，让我们找到了一种心灵 上的宁静。

前陣子因為電影『Control』上映的關係，身邊許多友人又開始聽起了Joy Division乃至New Order，同一時間自己則留意到了The Whip這支同樣來自曼城的Electronic、Indie-Rock樂隊；比較起Cut Copy或Late of the Pier，自己似乎更加鍾愛The Whip。比較起青一色的男性樂隊，The Whip有位女鼓手Fiona Daniel似乎更加惹人注意，相信相同情況也會被拿來和New Order曾有位女鍵琴手相提並論。
在「Trash」的音樂錄影帶裡，Fiona賣力的打鼓以及團員們一席黑色系的打扮樣樣都打進自己的心坎裡，然而當聽罷首張專輯『X Marks Destination』後，的確有幾分New Order上身、Synth-Pop電氣凌人的氣勢，心裡想在這個Dance-Punk猶如洪水猛獸的年代，The Whip在其中是何其優異的一員，肯定能大紅大紫。然而就在『X Marks Destination』發行六個月後，The Whip總算發行了這張Remix EP集錦『Remix Marks Destination』將所有單曲及重新混音版本一網打盡，更重要的是收錄了Van She、Ashley Beedle、Hadouken!等人的混音；聽著愛團Van She混愛團The Whip的歌曲，心裡覺得亂有趣的。不過交由意大利Ghettotech、House雙人組Crookers打理的Trash，是自己近日特別喜愛的Remix作品之一。『Remix Marks Destination』是一張跳脫『X Marks Destination』清爽曲風，全身投入舞池化的唱片，無怪乎在The Whip的Myspace上他們直言：「I Just Want To Dance!!」。

Mike Oldfield于1953年生于英国Reading。10岁学习吉他，14岁与姐姐Sally组成乐队，15岁开始单飞自组乐队。
1971年 Mike Oldfield 发现当时的录音技术可以于同一母带中的不同声轨收录不同乐器声，Mike Oldfield 便决定使用此技术录制他的新唱片——《Tubular Bells》，并由他自己分开弹奏曲中各种乐器，再组合成一曲。当时的唱片公司对 Mike Oldfield 的尝试只觉得有趣，但不觉得有市场价值。直到碰上正在筹组的Virgin Records，Mike Oldfield 和Virgin公司一拍即合，《Tubular Bells》这张只有2首乐曲，而每首乐曲长度都超过20分钟的专辑便成为Virgin首张发行的唱片。最终这张《Tubular Bells》成为在全球狂飚1600万张销量的惊世天碟，并立即令Virgin Records成为唱片业界其中一家最重要的唱片公司之一。《Tubular Bells Part I》里4分多钟的一段还成为惊栗电影《The Exorcist 大法师》的主题音乐。
自此，Mike Oldfield 顺理成章的成为当代的电子音乐大师。其实说他是电子音乐的大师，也是不全面的，因为虽然 Mike Oldfield 利用电子音乐来创作，但是他的音乐蕴含了许多的元素，从典型的英国民谣、爱尔兰歌曲、到摇滚歌曲，精致而多样，而且他的音乐中也有古典的元素，也使用了传统的乐器，比如：空心木吉他之类。更难能可贵的是，Mike Oldfield 每一张作品在风格上都丰富多变。但作为一个着名的电子音乐大师，无论创作或者演奏，其丰富和多变的内容似乎是符合电子音乐属于现代的超流行的特征和气质。
随后 Mike Oldfield 继续在New Age领域上发行了数张唱片，但均无法突破《Tubular Bells》的成绩。至1980年间，Mike Oldfield 转战Pop/Rock Music市场，其间创作了《Moonlight Shadow》等名曲，但亦无法如《Tubular Bells》般成功。直至今天，Mike Oldfield 仍然从事音乐创作，并正在写自传，希望日后 Mike Oldfield 仍然有让人惊喜的作品带给乐迷。
值得一提的是，当年还是一个不太出名的创作流行歌手的 Micheal Cretu，在一次音乐盛会后，面对茫然的未来向当时已经功成名就的前辈 Mike Oldfield 请教。正是 Mike Oldfield 的一句“努力成为制作人，做自己想做的音乐”让 Micheal Cretu 豁然开朗，从而成就了后来的 New Age 知名音乐家——Enigma。
Dana Winner翻唱的Moonlight Shadow是比较有代表性的。这版本充满欧陆民谣风，节奏由慢而快，开始的时候是很柔和舒服，当渐渐步入高潮时，节奏就开始轻快，轻快的节奏会让人随着节奏而翩翩起舞。Dana Winner的声线很适合moonlight shadow，因为很甜美柔和，很适合这首歌要代表的寓境。
1980年12月8日，马克．查普曼伪装成一个歌迷，在列侬的公寓旁边徘徊了很久。那天晚上，当列侬从录音棚返回家中的时候，查普曼请列侬在他的签字本上签名。当时他内心曾进行过激烈的斗争，但最后仍然举起手*枪朝着列侬的后背连开了5枪。和Moonlight Shadow中所写的He was shot six times by a man on the run倒是有点类似；但看了原版的MTV之后，我却觉得这首歌应该和John Lennon的被刺并没有直接联系，似乎男主角死于一场决斗中，这倒象是普希金，但不知道普希金的妻子娜达丽亚会不会这样来怀念他．查了一下资料，曾经有国外的歌迷透露，Oldfield说起这首歌的灵感来源于Tony Curtis主演的电影Houdini，霍迪尼传(Houdini)是美国派拉蒙公司于1953年7月2日上映的电影，故事梗概如下：在举世闻名的幻觉大师哈利胡迪尼逝世十年后，他的遗孀贝丝找上一位灵媒,来为她召唤亡夫的鬼魂，之后便以倒叙手法回顾胡迪尼传奇的一生。

N-Dubz的成员都在St John's Wood上学（Quintin Kynaston高中），在Dino Contostavlos父亲 Byron Contostavlos（Mungo Jerry前成员）的组织下，成员们组成了团体。而Dino Contostavlos的父亲已在2007年4月12号去世。成员Dino（Dappy）和Tula（Tulisa）是堂兄妹。成员们在团体组成后开始获得关注，均在4频道的Dubplate Drama节目中亮相参演。在Lickle Rinsers Crew（他们自己的厂牌）下，他们发行了单曲"Bad Man Riddim"和"Life Is Getting Sicker by the Day"，在英国私人广播电台两首歌曲都成为了热门单曲。在他们发行第一首单曲之前，他们为歌曲"Everyday Of My Life"制作了音乐录影带，并在Channel U进行了播放。2006年，团体自己发行了单曲"I Swear"，这首歌为他们赢得了主流关注，而他们的第一首单曲"You Better Not Waste My Time"也可通过下载获得。2007年，"You Better Not Waste My Time"关闭下载，团体发行了"Feva Las Vegas"（也为自己独立发行），这首歌跌落榜外（Top 40），最高排名57。
奋斗历程：
同样于2007年夏，Dappy与英国歌手Baker Troble合作发行了"Love for my Slums"。这首歌曲在"Channel U"蝉联数周第一，在英国地下说唱界成为一首大热单曲。2007年11月29号，Dappy参加了周三的Never Mind The Buzzcocks节目。他戴了一顶品牌的软沿帽，而Simon Amstell也戴了同样的帽子作为行头（撞帽？尴尬…）。
成名之路：
2008年5月，一首在MOBO（英国黑人音乐奖）上获得最佳新人奖后，团体与Polydor Records签约，在厂牌下重新发行了他们的首支单曲"You Better Not Waste My Time"，单曲发行后在英国单曲榜达到第26名，是他们现今的最高排名。歌曲"OUCH"发行后在单曲榜上一度徘徊达到22名，这也是他们曾取得的最好名次。名为"Ouch"的歌曲和音乐录影带一起推出。"Ouch"的录影带在发行后的仅仅一个多月内，就吸引了超过400百万的观众访问YouTube网站。2008年8月6日，团体宣布离开Polydor Records唱片公司，转签All Around the World唱片公司。这个厂牌主要专门制作舞曲音乐，但也偶尔发行一些Hip-Hop专辑，如Ice Cube的"You Can Do It"。

The Rasmus是来自芬兰赫尔辛基的超级年轻摇滚乐团，组团之始才仅是16岁的年轻小伙子，包括主唱Lauri、吉他手Pauli、贝斯手Eero与鼓手Aki，虽然一心想在家乡闯出个名堂，但他们却一致认为芬兰的摇滚乐逊爆了！(这话应该让那些北欧金属黑/死/歌德等猛团听的气急败坏吧？)随即The Rasmus便展开改造计划。
1999年的第三张专辑「Hellofatester」，其中先发之作「Liquid」获得当年度票选最佳单曲；2001年换东家后展现雄威的「Into」，更为强力的拓展音乐版图到邻近各国，狂销双白金还不打紧，接连在埃玛奖上大出风头的领取【最佳团体】、【最佳流行／摇滚乐团】、【年度最佳专辑】、【年度最佳单曲-F-f-f-falling】等奖项，吉他手Pauli还获得【年度最佳制作人】的肯定！第五张作品「Dead Letters」，锋芒毕露的大放异彩到全球各地，欧洲各国相继沦陷，获颁白金殊荣，进而曰本、美国以及台湾，都开始注意到The Rasmus的超人气，单曲「In The Shadow」占领8国排行冠军，就连每周竞争激烈的英国金榜，仍是大剌剌的强势盘旋冠军八周之久！
