  je voudrais une chambre double - I'd like a double room
  je voudrais des lits jumeaux - I'd like a twin room
  pour combien de nuits? - for how many nights?
• je voudrais une chambre avec vue sur la mer - I'd like a room with a sea view
  je voudrais une chambre avec un balcon - I'd like a room with a balcony
• quel est le prix d'une nuit - what is the price per night?
• le petit-déjeuner est-il compris? - does that include breakfast?
• pension complète? - full board?
  demie-pension? - half board?
• acceptez-vous les animaux? - do you allow pets?
• à quelle heure est le petit-déjeuner? - what time is breakfast?
  à quelle heure est le dîner? - what time is dinner?
• il n'y a pas d'eau chaude - there isn't any hot water
  il fait trop chaud dans la chambre - the room is too hot
  il fait trop froid dans la chambre - the room is too cold
• à quelle heure dois-je quitter la chambre? - what time do I need to check-out?
• pourriez-vous m'appeler un taxi, s'il vous plaît? - could you please call me a taxi?
• j'ai perdu mes clés - I've lost my key
• où est l'ascenseur, s'il vous plaît? - where is the lift (elevator in AmE), please?

Hey so u've been back to France again? Busy or not? I've completed my master studies this June and now am working in BJ...

BTW: sorry that my French is too poor to talk blah blah w...

didnt i mention to u before that i left france for good? perhaps i wasnt that specific then, but i tend to consider my chance of returning to france as slim to none. u might be wondering where i am now. well, believe it or not, just by some quirk of fate, im now somewhere on the african continent, not for a safari trip, unfortunately, but for professional reasons.

there is no call to worry about ur poor french, since u dont have to be good at it. plus ur remarkably good english makes you already the envy of many others here, u know that. doing a phd could be a good idea to brush up ur french. but marrying a french guy might turn out to be more effective.  hehe
