Job description:
Theelectrical modeling and simulation engineer develops real-time models withcutting edge technologies for power system and electrical drive applications,works with top engineers worldwide and gets involved in a full range of engineeringpractices, from software to firmware, to hardware.
Main duties:
· Conducts simulation studies for clients :
- Modelelectrical circuits.
- Validateevaluation model parameters.
- Performcase studies and test cases.
- Writereports.
· Participate in electrical product development :
- Draftproduct technical specifications.
- Simulateand validate models.
· Participate in technical seminars
- Participatein overseas product roll-outs (10 % of the time).
- Participatein providing Opal-RT product training to both internal and external customers.
- Performproduct demonstrations.
Requirements:
· Education: Masters in electricalengineering. Ph.D. is an asset, as well as a specialization in powerelectronic;
· Required knowledge: Knowledge of power electronics, electricdrives, power systems and energy conversion systems;
· Basic knowledge of the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPowerSystems and EMTP-RVor PSCAD-EMTDC. Asset : RT-LAB, RTDS or dSpaceSimulators;
· Language: Excellent knowledge of Mandarin and English, Korean is an asset;
· Skills sought: Organization,autonomy, discipline and determination, good communication skills, goodjudgment, analytical capacity and innovation.
· Work hours: Flexible schedule of 20 hours/week during the internship
