Keukenhof is a park designed for walking so cycling is not permitted inthe park itself. But, of course, you can explore the beautiful, colourfulsurrounding area by bicycle!In the car park next to the main entrance, Keukenhof hires out women's,men's and children's bicycles and even tandems. You can hire a bicycle and acycle route for just € 10 per day. We have prepared four different signpostedroutes for you, with distances ranging from 5 km to 25 km. Genuine cyclingfanatics can even take the 'Bollenstreek route' covering a full 35 km.The ladies', men's and children's bicycles, child seats and cycle helmetsare available to hire seven days a week from 09.30 to 18.00. Bicycles must bereturned before 19:30. Cash only – no credit or debit cards accepted.Unfortunately we cannot accept advance bookings for individuals or groupsof less than 20 persons.Advance bookings for hire bicycles can be made for groups of 20 persons ormore. Relax as you enjoy the peace and quiet of the endless bulb fields aroundKeukenhof in an electrically-propelled whisper boat. Environmentally-friendly,these boats travel through the beautiful Dutch landscape in virtual silence.The electric boats are specially suited for navigating the narrow and shallowcanals in the area. The boat trip takes 45 minutes. Spectacular photos areguaranteed!Have problems walking? If you can get on board and off again with a littlehelp, you are welcome to join the boat trip. Unfortunately, wheelchairs cannotbe accommodated on the boats.At the mill in the park, you can buy tickets for boat trips on the day ofpurchase.Boat trips will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Every day, the Keukenhof flower shows offer a unique experience. As manyas 500 growers present their prize blooms for leading flower arrangers to usein their unique shows. During the various flower shows you are invited to votefor the best flower in show. At the end of the season Keukenhof presents aprize for the winning grower in each show.

Theme 2014: Holland
The tulip is known throughout the world as the icon that definesHolland. With Holland as the theme for 2014, it is hardly surprising thattulips take centre stage at this year's Keukenhof. Holland = Tulips =Keukenhof!Tulips from Amsterdam are famed across the world, so the typicalAmsterdam atmosphere created in the Oranje Nassau Pavilion features anAmsterdam flower stall as a backdrop for the flower shows. You can also enjoydelicious traditional Dutch pancakes in this pavilion.A special highlight for this year is the flower mosaic depictingthe canals of Amsterdam, with a tulip the size of a canal house. The mosaic,measuring 22 by 13 metres, has been planted with 60,000 tulips and grapehyacinths. The design symbolises the Tulip Mania of the Netherlands' GoldenAge. The mosaic is guaranteed to offer the perfect photo opportunity for 2014!
Tulpomania exhibition 郁金香展
The tale of the tulip is truly impressive. From bulbs worththeir weight in gold, theft, and a mountain dweller that feels at home in theDutch climate, to the story of the black tulip, and famous people who gavetheir name to new varieties. All these stories are told in the Tulip Maniaexhibition in the Juliana Pavilion.

There are comfortable and convenient public transport links to Keukenhof.Simply take the Keukenhof Express from Schiphol Plaza or Leiden CentralStation. The bus takes you directly to the main entrance within half an hour!With 4 to 12 buses every hour, you will never have to wait too long.From Amsterdam, you can use bus number 197 (Museumplein or Leidseplein) toreach Schiphol Plaza, where you can take the Keukenhof Express (bus 858) toKeukenhof.
