去英国签证问题

I studied for 4 years in UK. I just know that if you get your visa from China, your visa is something like your resident permit card. YOu just need to register with the police in your region. It quite simple to register with the police not like what you need to do in France. You will be told how to do it when you receive your visa.
If you get your visa in UK (for people already in uk), you will get a resident permit card. There will be no visa on your passport. Either a valid visa or a vilad resident permit will allow you to stay in UK.

I think you can apply both French visa and UK visa (getting one of the two visas first, then another).  If you are questioned when you enter UK, just tell the truth. There is no reason to refuse your enty to UK as you just visit friends in French.

For the last question, I don't know the answer.

I am new in France having just got here one month ago. I find a lot of things are different between France and UK concerning what you need to do as a chinese citizen.

Are you working in France after graduating from an UK institution ? What incentive that pushes you to behave in this way ?

I bet french-speaking atmosphere would be nevertheless an impediment , is that definitely true and how to cope with it effectively ?

我到家了,自己的电脑可以输入中文. 我博士是在英国读的.之后找工作,找到一个在法国的职位,只有1-2年合同. 我在英国时曾经来过法国旅游,感觉这个国家还好.等我来了才发现这里人的英语水平不是一般的差.关键是我不会法语.如果会就好办了. 虽然不适应但是毕竟来挣钱来了,打算先凑合一段时间,之后在去别的英语比较流通的国家,或者回国.
来了以后办各种手续,所有办事的人都不怎么积极.不过这种情况各国都有,英国也不例外. 在英国境内续签至少要等3个月,不过续签材料只要在签证过期前提交就行了,就是没了签证护照哪里也去不了.

觉得英语国家的去法国上班挺少见,看看London有多少法国人就知道什么是主流了.在英国待了几年彻底把我的francophile身份给洗掉了..其实毕业后去法国也曾是我的备选,但是因为找到了NYC那边的机会,即不再考虑了..祝你顺利的熬过去!

我也想留在英国，但是简历可能不行，没找到工作。London才是真正的国际都市。坐公交车可以同时听到3种以上外语。

非常感谢你的回答，我也准备签两个试试。

法国人做事有时候看起来怠慢，其实还好，并没有很傲慢的感觉，就是慢条斯理。换居留也还顺利。整个感觉人都很nice，有法国人特有的诙谐。我法语不会，英语不行，大不了比划比划，法国人英语确实糟糕。在法国也呆了不少日子，怡然自得，每天学法国人晒太阳，觉得这才是生活。中国人太累。

先找几个朋友，就很容易安顿下来了，中国人不喜欢孤独。听过英国天气不好，食物难吃哈哈，这样看起来还是法国好。。。。。

更新一下，也给后来的同志们一点经验。宝宝五年卡，没有过期之前，回来法国不需要申请签证。我是申请的一年申根。宝宝带着五年卡，顺利的进入了西班牙。当然，那个西班牙警察翻了半天护照找我要签证，后来说没事就放行了。

我也想去美国，　sponsor 太难找了

其实有job offer就可以过去了. 难不难看你期望吧. 要是就为了换个地方 不会太困难的.可以从基层重新开始或者换个行业(不要非赖在金融业上)....反正美国的确比欧洲机会多
