Admissions, Events and Marketing Coordinator - Suzhou
Reporting to the China Campus Dean in Suzhou, the Admissions, Events and Marketing Coordinator will develop, recommend and assist to implement marketing and communications strategies to support the engagement of prospective Chinese students, alumni and school communities, and that meet the Chinese business objectives of SKEMA.
The AE&M Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the China market specific elements of the SKEMA’s Admissions Office (Departement des Admissions et Développement Internationale; DADI) and Communications Plans. The Admissions, Events and Marketing Coordinator will participate in planning discussions and review final recruitment plans and strategies to identify sales and communication needs and timelines that will support recruitment and communication efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify specific tracks for prospective students and develop brochures and notices that will appeal to their interests (educational level, profession etc) and provide relevant information throughout the recruitment process.
- Initiate communication to prospective students to introduce them to SKEMA Business School
- Preparation of offers to students and ensuring follow-up of offers
- Track and analyze recruitment and communication results to determine the most effective means and types of communication.
- Apply knowledge from results to communication planning to enhance its effectiveness.
- Monitor reports and requests received in the Admissions Office from prospective students, applicants for admission, enrollees, administrators via all forms of communication to identify further communication needs and special issues that need to be addressed, and respond accordingly.
- As appropriate, develop different/specific communication funnels based on the actions and individual circumstances of prospective students.
- Assist with planning and organization of visit schedules with internal and external partners and clients
- Identify event opportunities and manage event participation that will raise the image of SKEMA in China
- Manage SKEMA events and coordinate presentations ensuring content and quality of presentations
- Work with Admissions office staff, specifically the Community Engagement Officer, to create and post information pages and registration links for Admissions' special events.
- Monitor web content for the Admissions Office to ensure current, accurate information is posted in a timely manner; work with Admissions staff to initiate changes and corrections as necessary.
- Develop and/or review and update publications for use in recruitment activities to ensure their attractiveness to prospective students and accuracy in providing information about the University. Ensure adequate inventory of publications is available to support recruitment activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor or Masters degree in marketing, communications, business
- 3 years experience in mass communication and/or marketing/recruiting or related field.
- Excellent English and Chinese written and oral communication skills
Desirable but not necessary: Knowledge of French language

Community Engagement Officer (Intern level) – SKEMA Suzhou
Reporting to the Suzhou Campus Dean, the Community Engagement Officer will develop, recommend and implement strategies for web and social media content, that supports the engagement of prospective students, alumni and school communities, and meets the business objectives of SKEMA. This position is also responsible for integrating email communications, social media presence and new media support, including producing related web content and social media activity to advance the various communication opportunities related to enrollment management and building SKEMA’s on-line community in China.
This is an exciting learning opportunity that requires an individual who works well alone, understands the current digital environment but is also willing to participate in a team of marketing professionals. They will work as a key member of the Marketing and Recruitment Team to continuously improve social media marketing and community engagement programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Direction of enrollment-specific e-communications development and deployment for undergraduate, graduate and transfer recruitment.
•Coordination of email content and data between appropriate enrollment management team members, and functionality (web links, form needs, etc.) with web marketing team.
•Scheduling and project management of such campaigns in consultation with other staff members.
•Collection and coordination of related statistics for such campaigns from marketing analyst and web manager.
•Contribution to website content management as related to enrollment marketing campaigns.
•Integration of marketing messaging as it relates to enrollment management strategy into active social media presences (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and social media campaigns.
•Develop and disseminate best practices to selected faculty, staff and students for interaction in social media activity related to recruitment such as: Facebook status, blog postings, etc.
•Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related digital technology degree
• The successful applicant will have excellent Chinese written communication skills and a working knowledge of English
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Proficient in PC computer environments and full Microsoft Office suite; as well as familiarity with content management systems, email deployment and web software, and social media platforms.
•Ability to work well independently and in a dynamic team environment.
•Ability to coordinate, oversee and complete projects with minimal supervision.
•Understand the importance of rapidly learning new digital technologies, specifically web applications, social networks, and new media.
