amortissement 指的是经济学上的折旧，比如，厂房，硬件投资的折旧。法律上指的是分期偿还，分年摊还
depreciation 是跌价，，减值，贬值的意思。比如货币贬值

As to my knowledge, amortization refers more to economic concepts including intangible assets while depreciation is more related to the concept of fixed or tangible assets.
