- holding visa for any E.E.A. member state or Switzerland.
In both cases, passenger must be:
- travelling to/from one of the above mentioned countries;
and
- holding confirmed onward tickets (return ticket to country
of previous destination is not accepted); and
- all documents for the next destination.
Not applicable to passengers travelling in groups and
holding a group visa, or inadmissible passengers or
deportees being returned from Europe.
법무부는 유럽여행 중국인이 인천공항을 경유할 경우, 오는 30일부터 사증(VISA)없이 최장 30일간 입국이 허용된다고 밝혔다.
□ 6월30일부터 중국인이 인천공항을 경유하여 유럽으로 가거나 유럽에서 인천공항을 경유하여 자국으로 귀국 시 국내 관광을 희망할 경우, 유럽 30개 국가(별표) 중 어느 1개국의 사증(영주권 포함) 및 예약된 연결항공권을 소지하고 있으면 국내 사증(VISA)없이 최장 30일까지 입국 가능하다.
□ 현재 한·유럽간 직항노선이 있는 8개국은 물론, 직항노선이 없는 유럽 22개 국가로 여행하는 중국인에게도 일률적으로 적용, 최종목적지까지의 연결항공권만 확인되면 무사증입국이 허용된다.
- 이들은 입국시 관광통과(B-2)자격의 체류자격을 부여받게 되며 입국일로부터 최장 30일간 관광목적으로 국내체류가 보장된다.
□ 법무부는, 이번 조치로 중국인 부유층 등 고소득자와 상사주재원, 기업인 및 그 가족들이 유럽여행 전후에 우리나라를 방문할 수 있는 길이 열려 중국인 관광객 유치에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상하고 있다.
□ 특히, 중국 지방도시 거주자가 유럽을 여행할 경우 북경공항을 거치지 않고 바로 인천공항을 이용할 가능성이 많아 항공산업 활성화 와 인천공항의 허브기능 개선에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
□ 한편, 법무부는 그간 중국인관광객 유치를 위해 5인 이상 단체객에 대해 단체사증을 발급하고, 일본·미국·호주·뉴질랜드·캐나다 여행자에 대해 무사증(NO-VISA)입국 조치하는 등 입국절차를 개선한 바 있다.
- 향후 단체관광객 허용기준을 5인 이상에서 3인 이상으로 완화 하는 등 중국인의 출입국절차를 개선해 나갈 계획이다. (문화관광부와 협의중)
□ 2004년 한 해 동안 중국인 입국자는 약 47만 2천여 명으로 2003년도 (약 34만 4천여명) 대비 1.4배 늘어나는 등 꾸준한 증가추세에 있으며 통과여객의 경우도 2004년 한 해 동안 49,941명이 입국 2003년도(약 30,190명)에 비해 약 1.7배 늘어났다.
