xxx received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree (with honors) both major at Electronic Engineering from xxx University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. In March 2009, he received his Ph.D. degree major at Electronic Engineering both from xxx University. From Mar. 2009, he is a postdoctoral researcher in xxx.
His research interests are in the area of multimedia communications and networks, in particular, resource allocation and scheduling, cognitive and cooperative communications, cross-layer design, multimedia security, multimedia signal processing. As the team leader, his research group is the first one to develop practical Heterogeneous Multimedia Communications Platform and Security-Aware Underwater Multimedia Transmission Testbed (including software and hardware), which have been applied successfully in the related industrial fields. He has two patents and over 40 papers in international journals (e.g., IEEE Magazine, IEEE Trans., Elsevier, Springer etc.) and international conferences (e.g., IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC etc.).
He currently serves as an associate editor or guest editor for International Journal of Adaptive and Autonomous Communications Systems (Inderscience), Multimedia Systems Journal (ACM/Springer), Journal of Supercomputing (Springer), and EURASIP Journal of Wireless Communications and Networking (Hindawi). He also serves as Co-Chair and Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for a number of international conferences and workshops (e.g., IEEE Globecom’10, IEEE ICC’10 etc.). He is a member of IEEE, ACM and IET.
